e-governance egovpmc update
In an earlier blog I had noted that I had lodged three complaints / requests with the Pune Municipal Corporation using their website www.egovpmc.com. The current status is that for 2 complaints the concerned assistant commissioner has asked the administrator to forward the complaint to a different department. The third complaint hasn’t yet been looked at.
Pretty good considering that I wasn’t even expecting these online complaints to ever be read. I appreciate the effort put into creating an e-governance portal for Pune city and I hope it is used widely by citizens and that the adminstration also acts quickly on all complaints.

From last three months I am trying to trace my property bill (Dhayari) but there is very poor response from Vishrambagh Vada People, the Dhayari Property tax office is shifted some where else. They are neighter telling me the new office address nor they are issuing me the duplicate property tax bill. Also I am trying to get the duplicate Property tax bill for my mother’s property at Navi peth through http://www.egovpmc.com website but it is not working. Is there anyone who can help me is resolving my issues.

I am trying to get birth certificate from this site. First of all this site does open moths together. Around 20 days before the site got open, but the birth certificate was not displayed properly. The marathi font was not matching with my computer font. Only the english font was displayed pro[erly. Can anyone suggest me which font I should instal, so that the marathi language also should be seen properly in the birth certificate in this pmcpune website. Today right now the site is not opening.

For reasons only known to the PMC, they have now changed the website from http://www.egovpmc.com to http://www.punecorporation.org and killed egovpmc
They haven’t even shown the sense to block punecorporation.com. So please note that http://www.punecorporation.org is the official site while http://www.punecorporation.com is a fake.
However if you are hoping to get some work done on the corporation site, forget it as egovpmc or puncorporation.org both do not work.
Really need to check up which politicians family member is minting money by bagging the contracts for the PMC website and not delivering anything.

It is frustrating that in an IT savy city, e-governance is a big joke on the hapless public. I wish the concerned authorities take cognizance of these complaints and restore the site.

i got carried by coverage in indian express and your postings. but when tried to access the portal; it is not opening. i think nowadays it is practice of organisations to boast about e-governance but in fact it is infested with mismanagement.

since last 2 days i am in search of my property tax bill but i remain unsuccessful. i am able to search the serial no., however if i go further to seach pending dues or to pay detais it is not at ll opening.

I was able to go into the website http://www.punecorporation.org and able to see my property tax bill.
It is quite simple if you know your account number.
But the issue is there is no way you can pay the bill in the website.

Btw, if you are still scarred that you might end up paying someone else’s tax, use above link (http://www.punecorporation.org/ptax/prop_paiddet.asp) to confirm whether it shows you correct details and then only do payment!

I am unable to check birth details,because of font problem.It displays in some hazarous way/language.

Hi Friends (Unic Man etc),
I have found my property tax details from PuneCorporation.org website and registered the same on ICICI bank website. Now 2 questions -
1. Does anyone know the due date of the bill. I got the will on 12 Oct and due date is not mentioned on this.
2. If I pay the bill fron ICICI bank website ( as I am in Bangalore), how bill I get the reciept? I guess this reciept may be an important document while selling the property?

I am not able to print or view Birth cewrtificate.The fonts displayed are hazrdous type not marathi.Only english words ,whwrevwr are only displayed in english.This is long standing problem nor replied or repaired

I understand burning of leaves inside society premises is not permitted. If reported to the PMC, necessary action will be taken. I live in Flower Valley CHS at Wanowarie, Pune-411040. For the past few days the next colony, Raheja Gardens personnel have been burning leaves late in the evening and at night polluting the air and causing discomfort to the residents of the buildings adjoining the errant society. Who can I complain to in the PMC? Please let me have the name of the concerned official and his telephone number. Thank you.
