Times of India follows up on my complaint

A few days back I wrote about my complaint to the Maharashtra IT dept and to the Times of India about the disappearance of punemahapalika.org, which was supposedly the official site of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).Guess what, the Times Of India followed up on the matter with the PMC and in a news story today about PMC’s web sites, it mentions my complaint. And guess what, they say that I am an IT expert. I never suggested that I was one but that doesn’t matter.

In the “What about the existing site?” section in the story, it says “City-based information technology (IT) expert Harshad Oak had, through the e-tapaal service, complained to the department of IT, Maharashtra, regarding the defunct website. When TNN sought to know why the PMC s official website which has been shown as a link on the Maharashtra government’s official website and finds a place on the PMC’s telephone directory has been shut down, civic chief Nitin Kareer said he was not aware of such a site, adding that all he knew was that the PMC s official website was www.egovpmc.com.”

Strange that the civic chief wasn’t aware. But Kareer overall seems like a good guy wanting to improve things. So hopefully something should happen soon in the regard.

Hi, my dad who met with an accident on sunday night 19-8-07, had a clot on brain and was operated in NIMANS. So according to NIMANS rules patients should get discharged within one day because there are so many cases coming daily. If we take my fatrher to St Johns and other hospital, they are ignoring the patients because patient is from NIMANS. Latter got admitted in private hospital, where the Nero surgean ignored my dad and no treatment was given by the doctor. Now the duty doctors are taking care of my father.

Why should NIMANS discharge patients in one day, as it is a mojor operation?
If NIMANS gets many cases daily, why cant government take initiative to shift operated patients to safety place, where he is given a proper treatment.
Why cant other hospital take a initiative by taking the patients from NIMANS and give a better treatment.
Why do doctors work for money as doctor is a service kind of job.
Please take a action towards this. As many people are suffering from this. What will poor people do after he/ she get operated and moved out of hospital?

Regarding the pune nagar highway road expansion work. The work is going at very slow rate. On an average approx. 1000 vehicles or more passing through this road daily in the pick hours. Since last few years the expansion of road is going on but still the progress is not upto the mark.
As per every tender work rules & regulations the contractor is given specific time period within which he has to complete the work. For this road expansion work also the time frame is given but i don’t think it will get finished within the same. What action will be taken for this? Can the responsible person from government answer this?
For how much period people have to suffer the traffic conjestion problem? Can the contractor answer this?
