Law College Ward No 56 Candidates – Pune Civic Elections 2007

Finally found an official list of candidates for the PMC elections. It’s strange that candidates now have just about 10 days to convince the electorate.

As per Sakal dated 20/1/06, the candidates from Ward No 56 – Law College Ward are

    • Educational / Professional qualifications not mentioned in leaflet.

  5. Shyam / Sham Satpute
    • Former BJP corporator, now rebel candidate

  6. Vilas Ashok Dixit (Hindu Mahasabha)

I intend to call up some of these candidates and ask them some questions before I decide whom to vote for. Will write about the interviews next.

    How to get the bio-data of the candidates, their education, social work in the past, their wealth and criminal record (if any)?

    I suppose you can get the info for all candidates from the Election Commission office but that will be a very difficult task. It would be easier to just get hold of the brochures of the various candidates. If the election literature doesn’t state the educational qualifications, the candidate in all probability would not be a graduate.

    Anyway most election material state the candidate phone numbers. So the easiest way to get candidate info is to call up the candidate concerned. Before the elections you should get a friendly response. 🙂
