I ran the 2010 Pune Half Marathon. A repeat performance of your experience. And they probably increased the chaos and confusion this time.
Don’t think the conduct of this run can ever improve. The organisers need to be sensitised, the public too. And somehow no newpaper seems to write any bad review of it. None of the runners I know, or even do not know but came across had nothing but curses for the organisers.
May they sink in their cesspools of scams etc

Hi Mandar, Thanks for your comment & suggestion. My 2009 exp is now dated, so unlikely to get published. Unfortunately am not running this year. Also with the marathon having a sponsor this year & possibly a PR team at work, you are bound to see a lot more positive news in the press this year.

The registration part was frustrating – the start was late – no markers along the way. We completely missed out on this years run – I guess because they didnt get any sponsors to publicize it. The least you could have expected is for them to notify last years participants – but I guess thats too much technology to bear. We are running in the Mumbai marathon in Jan – hope to see you there.
